The company CVTI was acquired, an installation and engineering business working in industry and the tertiary sector. This added to the distribution activity.

Owing to the exponential development of the activity, the company incorporated new premises in Chaponost.
By acquiring an engineering and design department, CTA progressed from distributor to designer and manufacturer.
Creation of an air conditioning and heating system for the single-family house.
A new range of dryers, MASTERIA, came onto the market.
This same year, CTA holding company entered the Paris stock exchange to finance its development.
CTA holding company acquired a large stake in the company EUROKLIMAT based in Milan, Italy. This allowed a wide range of water coolers to be created for industry and the tertiary sector. This company obtained the ISO 9001 standard.
Partnership with a Thai manufacturing company, DIT (ISO 9001 standard) for assembling refrigeration dryers, heat pumps and later other products to ensure the lasting success and development of the CTA group companies.
Creation of a new company, POLYTROPIC, specialising in swimming pool heat pumps.
The Chaponost building was extended by 740 m² bringing the surface area of the workshop to 3200 m², and that of the offices to 650 m², in order to meet the development needs of the companies.
Significant development of the swimming pool heat pump activity owing to a well known national integrator. A stake was acquired in the manufacturing entity DIT.
